Calling all machine embroidery enthusiasts! It's just about time for the 2010 OESD Christmas Collections! There are three CD's in the collection and one at a time they will be available starting on September 1, 2010. The first collection involves making your own lace ornaments for the Christmas tree. One design makes twinkle light covers and several are dimensional! Machine applique is combined in the lace making process for a spash of color. There are 13 designs in the collection for a great variety of designs! The best part...the design CD's are free with a qualifying purchase of OESD products (which you would probably need to get started anyway!). Join us on Saturday September 11 from 9:30-11:30 for a free demonstration of the lace making techniques used in the designs. You don't need to come at a certain time, it will be an ongoing event from 9:30-11:30. We'll have some bundled products that will qualify you for a FREE CD, or you can pick and choose the OESD products you prefer. OESD makes a great line of stabilizers, Isacord thread, Organ embroidery needles, glitz and design packs. You are welcome to come in to get your design CD on the 1st of September and then return for the demonstration, the choice is yours! We have a limited number of Collection 1, so come get yours while supplies are plentiful!

The drawing was held for this quilt on January 31, 2009 and the lucky winner was: Jan Fellows. Congratulations! Now, she can no longer say "I never win anything!" Thanks to the generous ticket buyers, we raised $250.00 for the American Heart Association!
On Sunday June 30th, we celebrated Gail's contributions to The Quilter's Ranch and her retirement. Many friends dropped by to wish her well. The employees of The Quilter's Ranch thought about getting her a Bernina 730 for a gift, but alas, she already had one! We thought about making a quilt, but decided that would be like bringing coals to Newcastle. So instead, we made her a travel bag for use while vacationing or shopping...at Quilter's Ranch of course! It wouldn't be a party without show and tell, and Gail didn't disappoint! She is showing her Dessert Club quilt top from last year. Now maybe she'll have time to quilt it!
It really was a Special Event when Donna and Susan went to Bernina USA headquarters in Aurora, IL for software training in February! It snowed the first night they were there and kept snowing until they left! Aside from a power outage in the hotel, they weathered the weather and learned the wonders of Bernina software. Coming home to Phoenix and 80 degree weather was delightful!

Thanks to all who participated (shopped!) in our Super Bowl Weekend Go Green/Save Green Sale! On Sunday, February 3rd, we drew a name to win the Bernette sewing machine and the winner is.....Bonnie Kouskouris! Yippee!

Quilt Pink Raffle Update On Sunday, December 16th we had the raffle for Quilt Pink. Pictured above are some of the lucky winners! (No, you are not seeing double, this is Marion and her twin sister Margie.) A big thanks go out to all those who donated bags and bought tickets. Because of you, we raised over $300.00 for the Susan G. Komen For The Cure Foundation!
On Wednesday December 19, 2007 these two nice looking Marines came to The Quilter's Ranch to pick up our toy donations for Toys for Tots. Thanks to the generosity of our customers and staff, the box was full and it look two of them to haul off the toys! Thanks to all and to all a Merry Christmas!
